Brinder Fondal was selected as CDA of the Year for our court. Brinder is the Vice Regent and enjoys supporting the court in any way she can. Brinder has volunteered at the Parish Fall Festival, Parish Picnic and CDA Spaghetti Dinner and baking for Sunday bake sales. Spending time with her 2 grandchildren is another one of her most enjoyable moments. Upon retirement she's looking forward to doing more at the church and giving back as she so loves to do.
Brinder has a heart for giving and helping others. Being Catholic Daughter of the Year is not only an honor for the court but for Brinder as well. She's proud to hold such a title as ladies before her have so proudly held.
Our motto is a reflection of us. When everyone acts in a charitable, welcoming manner the court is unified. Orienting a potential new member to a Catholic Daughter court may seen unnecessary or too much work but it has a huge dividend in membership recruitment and retention (the foundation of court sustainment). She will be impressed with the extra effort to welcome her and excited about joining an organization interested in her potential time, talent and treasure. Introductions to officers, chairs and members will become familiar faces and new acquaintances. The fresh experience of a warm welcome reinforces that Catholic Daughters is the right organization for her. She may consider inviting her friends to join her at the next meeting.
Jessie Barber and her daughter Delores Gonzalez presented our court with a $2,000 check donation on behalf of the Lancelotta Foundation in her honor in our May Meeting.
